The Akhanda Retreat is a sacred reset for the Soul. This 1:1 Ayurvedic immersion invites you to slow down, soften, and return to the quiet wisdom of your inner wholeness.
Held here at the peaceful Middle Piccadilly Retreat & Sanctuary, you’ll step away from the distractions of daily life and into a cocoon of stillness; a space where time slows down, the nervous system can unwind, and you can relax into just being you.
At the heart of this retreat is the powerful integration of three ancient healing pathways:
* Ayurveda brings the wisdom of personalised health, aligning food, daily rhythms, and lifestyle with your natural constitution.
* Shamanic Healing facilitates the release of emotional and energetic imprints, clearing unconscious patterns that burden the soul.
* Holistic Bodywork restores the body as a sacred vessel, softening tension, dissolving armour, and inviting presence.
Together, these modalities offer a full-spectrum return to wholeness, radiance, and vibrant health, tending the physical, emotional, energetic, and spiritual bodies as one.
All treatments are received in the morning, when Agni (digestive fire) and Pitta (clarity and transformation) are at their peak, the most effective time to absorb the benefits of deep healing and medicinal oils
Afternoons are soft, spacious, and attuned to Vata: a creative, reflective time for journaling, artwork, walking in nature, or resting. You’ll also be offered personalised practices or gentle inner work to support emotional and energetic integration.
I’ve worked closely with Middle Piccadilly’s resident chef to create Ayurvedic, dosha-specific meals that are both healing and deeply satisfying. Every dish is lovingly prepared by him, using fresh, organic, and locally sourced ingredients, including homegrown produce from the Dorset countryside whenever possible.
Rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom, the meals are designed to be sattvic, promoting clarity, balance, and vitality, while also including the five Ayurvedic tastes (rasas) to support digestion and inner harmony. Expect warming kitchari, nourishing dahl, and seasonal, cleansing soups, all grounding, easy to digest, and prepared with the intention to nourish body, mind, and spirit.
By offering simple, easily assimilated meals, the digestive system is given the chance to rest, allowing your body to redirect its energy toward deeper healing, repair, and transformation.
